  • 1922 9 June Molly sings during a band competition. Margaret’s boyfriend is in the band.

  • 1922 16 June Margaret and Molly perform for a Cadet Band Benefit as Mesdames Moorehead, according to the paper.

  • 1922, 16 June: It was announced that Margaret and Molly would be going to Chicago.

  • 1924 11 July Margaret goes to Devils Lake with friends, and Molly chaperones them.

  • 1924 1 August Margaret visits Agnes and her friend Miss Thompson in Madison.

  • 1924 13 August Margaret attends a picnic at Skillet Creek with her parents and many other guests.

  • 1924 24 September Margaret attends a picnic at Gibraltar Cliffs before they depart for St. Louis.

  • 1924 6 November Agnes goes to a teachers' convention in Milwaukee

  • 1925 Zanesville  In 1925, there was a reference in the Zanesville newspaper to the “Misses Agnes and Margaret Moorehead,” who returned to Saint Louis after visiting their grandfather. You can believe that they were a tandem, Aggie and Peggy. 

  • 1925 18 November Agnes performs in recital at Soldiers Grove

  • 1926 25 February Agnes performs a song at Washington Lincoln event

  • 1926 17 June Agnes returns to St. Louis from Soldiers Grove

  • 1926 12 July Agnes and Margaret leave for their grandparents from the Bruning home in Hamilton, where they had been since Thursday.

  • 1926 5 August Upon returning to Soldiers Grove, she announces via newspaper that she is looking into a teaching position in Honolulu and claims to have lost several hundred dollars in a bank failure in Soldiers Grove. Agnes states she majored in music.

  • 1926 14 August Agnes auditions for Charles Jehllinger at AADA.

  •  1926 4 December: I was a victim of the failure of Soldiers Grove Bank to the tune of $300. She also makes a point of announcing her father is a minister.

  • 1927 3 July Margaret is in Knoxville, and Miss Ruby Anderson is her guest.

  • 1927 30 July Maternal grandfather Terence Edward McCauley dies of a fracture to the base of his skull at an iron mill in Warren, Trumbull, Ohio. He does not live with his wife Margaret, who is in Canton, Ohio.

  • 1927 5 August Agnes is announced as teaching English and Public Speaking at Soldiers Grove 

  • 1927 18 August Margaret is in Knoxville, Tennessee, visiting Mrs. W.D. 

  • Kincaid.

  • 1927, 19 August, a luncheon is given in Margaret’s honor.

  • 1927 20 October Attends football game U of Wisc. with friends

  • 1927 27 October Leaves Soldiers Grove on Sunday to attend AADA. She also states she’s taught at Soldiers Grove for five years.

  • 1927 11 November Paternal grandmother Hannah Humphrey Moorehead dies of old age.

  • 1928 8 April Margaret has been employed by public health in St. Louis through March.

  • 1928 3 May returns from New York to Soldiers Grove to finish the remainder of school

  • 1928 21 June Agnes is visiting friends in Baraboo, Wisconsin.

  • 1929 22 January Announces upcoming graduation from AADA and states will return home in March. She says she may join a company in New Orleans.

  • 1929 2 April Now a graduate of AADA

  • 1929 29 April Paternal grandfather Robert Moorehead dies of old age and a thigh fracture.

  • 1929, 10 July, Agnes leaves Dayton and returns to New York.

  • 1929 10 July Sister Peggy suffers “an attack,” which turns out to be the beginning of her suicide

  • 1929 12 July Molly telegrams Agnes: “Things are not so well come at once.”

  • 1929 14 July Sister Peggy commits suicide by drinking bichloride of mercury four days earlier. She dies at 7:50 a.m. at the age of 23. She is not the first to commit suicide in the family.

  • 1930 15 May A report is made of a Scotch Collie named Kenmuir McTarvish Moorehead was found and returned to Agnes’ parents, and a note is made that during a trip home last summer, Agnes took the brother of the dog named Laddie back with her to New York. No mention is made of the exact date.
